I felt safe in Florence because there are a lot of tourists but because of that you have to be aware that there are a lot of pick pockets, you have to take care of your personal things, if you go out at night be careful and try to stay alert

We were safe. Expirience Florence by walking at evening, it is totaly different from daylight, verry romantic. Food is meat and stake, no vegan or vegetatian. Darling you are in Florence- steak is our food- that is what they say😂 We spend 2 days in Florence, it was about 100€ for stay at pansion. After we took car and go around Tuscany.

Wonderful city. Felt safe walking around, evening in the evenings. Plenty to see just by walking around. Lots a pubs and cafe’s where people are friendly and conversations started. Probably my favorite city we visited during our 4 weeks in Italy. I would go back as a solo traveler and feel completely safe and welcome.

It was quite safe to travel in florence. The food was really delicious I wish I can stay more. But I will go that place amd visit again. It is not a cheap city but you can eat a lot top. Boboli garden was such a dream. Everybody should visit

Amazing trip to Florence with my family. We have visit the Boboli Garden and Costume Gallery. The steakhouse was pretty good. We enjoyed it! There were too much people and we felt ourselves a little bit uncomfortable because of it, but nevertheless everything was brilliant

I felt safe most of the time in Florence! The locals are very friendly and willing to help you! Even if you can’t speak a lot of Italian, English is widely spoken! I really loved the Uffizi gallery, and I recommend getting cumulative tickets for the bargello museums and the Brunelleschi pass for climbing the dome and bell tower! My advice is to avoid the restaurants that advertise in English if you want to find the local places! The food is absolutely amazing and typically the wine is amazing (even the house wine). The city is incredibly walkable, and there is a train station that connects you to many of the main places in Italy! There’s also buses that you can buy cheap tickets for at small stalls around the city!

I stayed at a hostel, it was a bit expensive for what it was. No breakfast, no cooking plates, no common areas except the kitchen and poor quality wifi. I recommend Piazzale Michelangelo which gives a beautiful view of the city, as well as the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral which is magnificent. Otherwise the city is very touristy and it can be a little stuffy sometimes.

I felt very safe walking around Florence, even at night. It was so lovely and not crowded at all. You can walk mostly everywhere you want to get to. So many lovely restaurants and bars as well. S stayed in a 4 star hotel and got a very good deal on booking.com. I arrived by train and left by train as I am travelling on a interail pass.

For some time, I couldn’t decide which was my favourite between Venice and Florence. But because I had the best combination of experiences i.e. food, views, museums, attractions, etc. here, I have to say Florence. Definitely going back. 💕

I had an amazing time! Great city to stroll around and enjoy in the spring or fall, it's Italy so the food is 10/10 of course and I met some really nice people there too! 100% would recommend for a solo trip where you want to enjoy slow living and architecture!

Florence could be more safe, but during the day and specifically in the center I feel safe. There are areas, like the stations, that are a little less safe. But generally I feel comfortable and Florence is a safe place.

florence is very walkable and so it's easy to walk everywhere. i haven't experienced any sort of harassment or have felt unsafe here but it is off season so there aren't as many people. i would recommend just walking fast and avoiding looking too touristy

Florence is a small but charming city, full of art and culture. You can visit it in 4 days, but there are lots of other places to see nearby! You can cross Tuscany in less than 3 hours and it's full of beautiful nature, good food and culture. There are literally so many good restaurants to try, but I recommend cheap "taverna" or "osteria" outside the city center, they have the real Italian food!!😉 It's not expensive if you avoid "tourists traps", but you have to find an accomodation outside the centre, in "Campi Bisenzio" or "Calenzano" for example. They are well connected, with trains every 30 minutes and you'll be in the city centre in 15 minutes. The car is not essential to visit Florence, even because you can't access the city centre with it and parking is expensive. Busses, trains and tram are functional. But if you want to visit Tuscany you'll need a car, especially for places like Chianti and Maremma or the coast. We are a welcoming country, so don't hesitate to ask for more information!!
