However, basic precautions, such as not wandering into unlit areas late at night and keeping your belongings secure, are always necessary to enhance your personal safety.

Pals is quite navigable, especially for a solo female traveler. The town is compact, which allows for easy walking to most local attractions. However, depending on your accommodation's location, there may be some hilly terrain. Signage is clear, locals are friendly and willing to assist, but do consider that the town’s old-world charm might come with cobblestone streets which may be a little challenging for some. Means of transport are locally available if needed.

The town also offers a wide array of locally made products in its boutique shops, including pottery and cuisine. The stunning views of the Mediterranean from its viewpoints are breathtaking. Outdoor enthusiasts would love the hiking and cycling routes around town. However, while Pals has much to offer, it may not have the bustling nightlife or modern art scene other larger cities boast.

Cuisine in Pals is a delightful mix of traditional and innovative food. There's warmth in the local dishes, lending homage to its rich history while also not being afraid to push culinary boundaries. Is Pals worth visiting?

Couple travel experience

We spent a week in Pals (Platja de Pals). Our accommodation was right on the beach and in the morning we could watch the sunrise wonderfully. This accommodation was rented out through the Local Vacation Rentals of Platja de Pals. You never get bored either. You can spend your day walking to beautiful bays, going on bike rides or exploring the nearby old towns. These can all be reached by car within 5-20 minutes. The food in Pals is fantastic but not necessarily cheap. In general, Pals is a very nice little place with great beaches and can only be recommended.
