Croatia is a great country, but there aren't many places to travel. You definitely need a map to avoid getting lost. I felt very safe in Croatia as the people were kind and helpful. The prices are at a normal level. Have fun!
Posted: March 20, 2024I felt very safe, everyone is really pleasant. I recommend going island hopping. We did Hvar, Vis and Brac and it was so beautiful and amazing! Sometimes I found that hostels are even more pleasant than airbnbs. They have high scores, we stayed in two and were pleasantly surprised

I went on the Best of Croatia: a Coastal Village tour with Road Scholar and it was phenomenal. A couple nights on land on either end of a seven-day small ship cruise with 16 passengers and 6 crew. They do have a single surcharge. But for a great educational, historical, and cultural experience where each stop was another World Heritage site, it couldn’t be beat. As is common with these trips, there were more women than men and the men were nearly all in couples. And people on the Road Scholar trips are generally intellectually curious and good company even for an extended trip. Road Scholar is for people over 50, so the participants do skew toward retirees.
Posted: January 30, 2024You Can find a cheap airbnb near the sera, and eat well (seafood mainly) in good restaurants for a reasonable amount of money. Back then, the flights were not so expensive, but I Heard it fends to be more expensive as the location is more popular. In terms of landscapes, Croatia is a must if tou like the sea but also the mountains. It's a poor country, there isn't big malls or things like that, even though the Big cities are beautiful. One advice: take your translator with you, not many people speak english
